8th February - Band Dinner Dance at the Watson Hall
30th March - Annual Concert at the Roses Theatre with Avonbank Band. Joint conductors for the evening were Ken Booth, Gordon Bennett and Steve Walkley. After this concert Ken Booth resigned as Bandmaster.
2nd April  - Dennis Grant (Principal Cornet with the City of Gloucester Band) invited to be Bandmaster.
23rd April  - Band AGM
22nd June - Band played in the garden at the Black Bear, Tewkesbury.
28th June - Band played at Strawberry Fair in the Town Hall.
5th July  - Band played in the Town Carnival Parade.
6th July - Band played at The Fleet Inn, Twyning.
16th July - Band played at The House in the Tree.
20th July - Band played in the garden at the Canterbury Inn, Tewkesbury.
16th August - Afternoon: The Band played at Puckrup Hall Garden Fete.
16th August - Evening: The Band played at the Cheltenham Carnival.
24th August - Band played in the garden at the Gupshill Manor, Tewkesbury.


25th August - Band played in a Marching & Deportment Contest in the Forest of Dean. This was the first time a Tewkesbury Band had marched for 43 years. The band came 2nd out of 4 bands.

31st August - Band played in the garden at the Gupshill Manor, Tewkesbury.
7th September - Band played at Upton on Severn.
14th September - Band played in the garden at the Royal Hop Pole, Tewkesbury.
29th November - Band played in the GBBA Contest in the Forest of Dean. The Band played the march "Sons of the Brave" by T. Bidgood and "Three Castles" by William Rimmer. The Band was placed 8th out of 12 bands.

17th December - Senior and Junior Band's gave Christmas concert at Watson Hall.
20th December - Band played at Supporters Club Christmas Fair at Tewkesbury Town Hall.
 22nd December - Band played at the Town Mayor's Carol Service at the Christmas Tree in the forecourt of the Methodist Church.

1981

31st January - Severn Sound recording at Stroud.
22nd February - Band played at the Stroud Entertainment Festival and came 7th out of 12 bands.
3rd April - Band Dinner Dance at the Watson Hall

17th April - Band played at the Pontins Contest at Brean Sands. The Band was placed 13th out of 22 bands.
Following the contest Dennis Grant resigned as conductor of the Band. Alan Adams stood in as conductor until a replacement could be recruited.

25th April - Band played at Ripple Church for the wedding of Fred  and Christine Poole. The Band played in the Church and formed a guard of honour.
4th May - Band played at the Lions Club Donkey Derby, Tewkesbury.

4th July  - The Band headed the Town Carnival Parade and played at the Carnival Fete afterwards. This was the first time for 44 years that a Town Band had marched through Tewkesbury.


15th July  - Ted Stephens joined the Band as its new conductor.
19th July  - The Band played at Newent International Motor Cycle Cross event.
26th July  - The Band played at Kemerton Fete.
29th July - Band played for the Lions Fete at The House in the Tree.
15th August - The Band played at Puckrup Hall Garden Fete.
22nd August - Band played at The Kings Head, Upton on Severn.
26th August - Ted Stephens resigned  as conductor of the Band due to business commitments in Dundee. Dave Dron stands in until a replacement can be found.
5th September - The Band played in Cheltenham Carnival.
6th September - The Band played at the Garden Party of Mr Ray Chandler, Mayor & local Magistrate.

12th September - Band played at Tewkesbury Hospital Fete.
12th September  - Roger Pope joined the Band as its new conductor.
8th November - Band played at Town remembrance service at the Cross.
9th December - Band gave Christmas concert at Watson Hall.
19th December - Band played at Supporters Club Christmas Fair at Tewkesbury Town Hall.
20th December - Band played carols at the Swan Hotel.
 21st December - Band played at the Town Mayor's Carol Service at the Christmas Tree in the forecourt of the Methodist Church.

1982

3rd May - Band played at the Lions Club Donkey Derby, Tewkesbury.
13th June - Band played at the Hobnails Public House.
All other public engagements were cancelled during the summer until the Band reached a higher standard of playing.
October - Roger Pope resigned  as conductor of the Band due to ill health. Dennis Grant stands in until a replacement can be found.
15th November - Band played at Town remembrance service at the Cross.
18th December - Band played carols in Tewkesbury.
 21st December - Band played at the Town Mayor's Carol Service at the Christmas Tree in the forecourt of the Methodist Church, and afterwards at the Swan Hotel.
 22nd December - Band played carols in the pubs around Tewkesbury.
 There was unfortunately no Christmas Concert this year as a result of the Musical Director's resignation.

1983

25th June - Band Strawberry Fair (Band did not play).
26th June - Band played at the Garden Party of Betty Ellis & Keith Rose.
27th June - Band played at The Swan.
2nd July  - Band played in the Town Carnival Parade.
3rd July  - Band played at Haw Bridge.
9th July  - Band played at the Roses Theatre Open Day for Stan Stennet.
17th July  - Band played at Vintage Car show at Breaking Stone Meadow (MG Car Club).
23rd July  - The Band played at Kemerton Fete.
7th August - The Band played on Tewkesbury Abbey Lawn.
10th September - Band played at Tewkesbury Hospital Fete.
