- Band entered the West of England Fourth Section Area Contest at the
Colston Hall, Bristol. The Band gave an outstanding performance of "Indian
Summer" by Eric Ball and was
placed 3rd out of 29 bands. The Band had qualified for the National Finals
for the first time in its 25 year history. |

April - Band heads the Civic Parade
from Sun Street to Tewkesbury Abbey, and back again after the Civic Service. |

Band played at Apperley Village Hall. |

2nd May - Band played at the Annual Animal Blessing
Service at Tewkesbury Abbey. |

13th June
- Band played in the Stroud Entertainment Contest. The Band was placed 2nd
out of 7 bands.

- Band's cornet section played a fanfare for the launch of the new Rover 75
car. |

- Band gave a Concert in Tewkesbury Abbey with the Abbey School Choir. |

at Stratford on Avon Bandstand for the Stratford Regatta. |

Band played at the ninth Pershore Midsummer Brass Festival. |

Band departs on its first tour to Tewkesbury's twin town of Miesbach in
Bavaria, Germany. |

Band returns from its tour of Miesbach. |

Band rehearsed the 1812 Overture with the Glevum Orchestra in the Olympus
Theatre, Gloucester. |

"Salzburg Suite" by Denis Wright in the Boosey & Hawkes National Brass Band
Championships Fourth Section Final at the Royal Concert Hall, Nottingham.
The Band was placed 12th
out of 20 finalists. |

Band played in the Wychavon Entertainments Contest. The Band was
placed 8th out of 8 bands. |

31st October -
Band performed the 1812 Overture with the Glevum Orchestra in the Everyman
Theatre, Cheltenham. |

14th November -
Band led the Town Remembrance Day parade. |

20th November -
Band played for the Miesbach Twinning Association Social Evening in the
Masonic Hall. |

28th
November
- Band played in the GBBA Contest in the
Forest of Dean. The Band gave another outstanding performance of "Indian
Summer" by Eric Ball to win the Own Choice
test piece contest against 8 bands. In the March Contest the band played
"Kenilworth". |

- Band played at the Round Table Christmas
Dinner, Gupshill Manor, Tewkesbury. |

- Band played at the Town Mayor's Carol
Service in Tewkesbury Abbey. |

19th December -
Band gave Christmas Concert at the Roses Theatre.
Pete Williams & Keith Rose were awarded Honorary Membership of the Band in
appreciation of their 25 years dedicated service to the Band. |
