Musical Background: Hannah started playing the Cornet 4 years ago under teacher David Colton, then later changed to have lessons with Helen Walters and currently Gavin Wells at Dean Close. Hannah has also had singing lessons from Rachel Gay and currently Christopher Borrat. Hannah has achieved Grade 6 in both Cornet and Singing already!

Which Bands / Ensembles do you (have you) played with on a regular basis? Tewkesbury Town Band, Gloucestershire Youth Brass Band, many school bands / groups and is Head Chorister of Tewkesbury Abbey Choir.

What has been your most outstanding banding experience to date? "My most outstanding banding experience was my first ever contest, Butlins 2007 where we played The Journeymen. The best bit was The Big Blow. There was such a great, loud sound and hundreds of people turned up!

What are your favourite pieces of music that you have played? The Journeymen, Hook, Jamie's Patrol.

What are your favourite pieces of music to listen to (brass band)? There's No Business Like Show Business, Floral Dance, Rodrigo Concerto (orange juice).

What are your favourite pieces of music to listen to (any genre)? Jazz, Swing, Big band, Rat pack, show tunes.

Who is your favourite performer and why? "Frank Sinatra cause he's cool!"

What are your musical ambitions? Hannah ambitions are to either go to the Royal College or Royal Northern and become a professional musician. She'd like to play in the pit in the West End, teach Cornet and become a Head of Music somewhere!
